Color Trends Spring & Summer 2011

Thank you Mr. Groundhog we are finally free. I'm so ready for Spring/Summer fashion 2011 to begin. It's all about colors colors colors. There are colors that inspire and brighten up our lives. There are also tones that calm and make us feel lyrical. But there are those which don't provoke any emotions but still are interesting in their own unique way. So what colors will be trendy during Spring/Summer 2011? Mostly quiet and restrained, but some will add vividness and glamour too!

Deep purple and bright pink. These tones aren’t among the hottestcolor trends of Spring/ Summer 2011 but we can’t ignore them. Designers played with deep purple, dark violet, and neon pink, and though they used these scarcely the collections became more cheerful.

Light green. Burberry Prorsum offered us this color, but there were examples of using it in Sass & Bide, Alberta Ferretti and other collections. Like it or not, but it is a Spring/ Summer 2011 trend.

Light grey and stone. While grey and stone tints may be considered dull and boring they look incredibly good in combinations with other tones. You can do this or try a total grey look with a couple of pretty accessories.

Christian Dior, Gucci, Prabal Gurung, Max Mara, Victoria Beckham and a few other designers opted for purples and violets to blend the generally delicate and emotionless color schemes.

Stripes. Stripes weren’t as popular as floral prints, but we see them in many designer collections. In L.A.M.B. stripes are huge and multicolored, Paul Smith used pinstripes, and Prada experimented with black and blue, and orange and black.
