has given the first taste of her upcoming studio album by releasing new single "New Day". Sharing a link to the audio, the R&B singer/songwriter wrote on her Twitter Thursday, June 28, "It's almost time... I can't even contain my excitement!!! Here we go..." ""There's no limitation, no/ Fill up your life/ Let me see your hands up," she sings in the drum-heavy song, which is produced by her husband Swizz Beatz. Still, she does not say if the track is the lead single off her yet-to-be-titled fifth effort.

Keys recently reached out to her fans by taping a short video in which she talked about a different person she has become now and how it affects her next album. "I've come to this place that the album is about to be ready and I feel just so crazy excited. It's like I'm a different person. I'm a new person. Everything is new, from being married and having a baby," she shared.

"I've become so much more intelligent and I survey the landscape more and try to come up with what's the best thing for me, what's the best thing for [son] Egypt, what's the best thing for our family," the mother of one added. "I've gone through so much growth and so much realisation and realising that in life different things come and different things change. I've learned that I have to trust myself and trust my instincts. I had to and I have to be braver than I've ever had to be before."

The 31-year-old further gushed about the new LP that would serve as a follow-up to her 2009 set "The Element of Freedom", "So much of the music that you're going to hear is talking about what that feels like, what we're all going through, all of us... That empowerment, that freedom is definitely something that's reflected in this album.
