On April 30, I attended the "Road to Miami Takeover" event Part 1 art and fashion show. The event featured two amazing DJ's Jay Z's DJ Young Guru and DC's own Party Kingpen, DJ Quicksilva. The event took place at Cafe' Asia it began with an art and fashion show with a a transition to an ultimate DJ party.
Nzinga Smith of Urbane DC co-produced the art & fashion show alongside Dana James & Kenyatta Smith. Smith is a former Fashion Market Editor for Giant Magazine and fashion stylist for numerous magazines including GQ, Elle, Uptown magazine, as well as ad campaigns for Marc Ecko.
There will be a series of events leading up to this year's Miami Takeover.
