Mavado In the states after 2 years

via Hot 97 -Last night HOT 97 turned the Hammerstein Ballroom into a fiery mash-up of dancehall, reggae and hip hop.  We also set your computers ablaze via the first ever live streaming of On Da Reggae Tip powered by Live Stream.  ODRT is arguably one of the biggest reggae and dancehall concerts in the tri-state area if not the biggest. Every year HOT 97 delivers an outstanding pre Labor Day concert for it's loyal listeners and this year was no different.  Bringing to the stage some of reggae and hip hop's most popular artists from past and present while providing a large platform for emerging artists.
ODRT was hosted by HOT 97's own Bobby Konders & Jabba with DJ Young Chow and DJ Spynfo on the 1s and 2s to set the tone for the night. Bronx born Tarrus Riley was first to hit the stage performing some of his hits follwed by Demarco who brought some daring young ladies up to the stage for a 'dance contest'.  Serani graced the stage shortly after opening with a piano solo then breaking into a frenzy with his mega hits "Skip To Ma Lu", "She Loves Me" and "No Games".  Reggae legendary hitmaker Barrington Levy was next up singing his classic 'Shoobeedoobwap' as only he can do and "Murderer".  Special guests Spragga Benz and Damien 'Jr. Gong' Marley touched the stage along with Stephn Marley ushering in the classic reggae feel.  Mr. Vegas performed his hit songs "I Am Blessed" and hosting another 'dance contest' via "Hot Wuk".
