The Indie Life:ATX Concert returns Friday, March 14th, for its 3rd Annual Series during the SXSW Festival. Over the years, The Indie Life has brought out DJ Premier, !llmind, Kendrick Lamar, Big K.R.I.T., Freddie Gibbs, Smoke DZA, Beanie Sigel, Iamsu, Ty Dolla $ign, Fat Trel, Los, Oddisee, and Rapsody to name a few. This year, Twenty20 Music + Films has teamed up with DIGIWAXX to bring Twista, Freeway, Problem, Boldy James, Skyzoo, Torae, and K Camp to the stage, with more surprises TBA! Guest DJ's include Shade45's Statik Selektah, along with Core DJ's own DJ Tex, in addition to DJ Run P and DJ Sydney Love coming straight out of New York City. Arrive early to get front row for a special DJ Battle presented by DJBooth.net, with grand prizes provided by Native Instruments/Traktor. THIS is "The Indie Life" culture of Hip Hop like you've never seen it before.
The Indie Life: ATX 2014 Edition takes place Friday, March 14 at Bat Bar 218 E. 6th Street starting at 6:30pm. This is a 21 and up event. DC recording artist and Twenty20 Music & Films head honcho SmCity is set to release a new project this summer entitled "Empire Falls," with production from heavyweights Dj Toomp, Harry Fraud, Statik Selektah, !llmind, Numonics and more TBA . This will be the third release from the MC following up 2013's "Dream Cemetery" and 2012's "The Indie Life: Hate Love & Money."
