Last week I hit the road to Baltimore, Maryland with my gal pal also fashion blogger Skye Charlie to cover Fashion Awards Maryland.It seemed like eternity driving there, but when we reached our destination I was pleasantly surprised by the beautiful architecture of the many beautiful Baltimore buildings.

I lived in Baltimore for 3 years but it seemed like I haven't visited in quit awhile and although I have traveled through the city headed to New York many times during the year I missed hanging out in the city. It was like a breath of fresh air tall buildings, bright lights, and people walking the streets and enjoying the night.

#Wearitoutwednesday "May Day" event featured designers, make up artist & models nominated for the established awards show & voting. The event also announced the winners of the emerging talents in Maryland. There is still time to vote at www.fashionAwardsMd.com

After we arrived at the venue and checked in at the media desk Skye Charlie and myself entered the ball room and saw fashionistas, models, photographers, and noted bloggers like Erica Vain owner of www.EricaVain.com & editor at www.PynkMag.com

Overall the fashion show was a success and it was interesting to learn about the emerging nominees and winners. There were beautiful designs at the show, but one designer that I was not too fond of designs. The garments seemed a tad bit gaudy & looked unfinished, but hey they were there at the Fashion Awards working the runway. That particular designer must be doing something right. 

We closed the night taking photos and networked with several photographers, models & bloggers. We're looking forward to the established award show in June. Go to www.FashionAwardsMd.com for more information.

Model Rita is rockin' a sheer white dress with a plaid trench coat while our style blogger Skye Charlie is rockin' Rachael Roy leather jacket from Macy's, H&M stone wash jeans, white tee from Nordstroms, ankle boots from H&M, & vintage purse.

As Skye Charlie & Rita headed back home I continued admiring the Baltimore scenery while heading back to my car and on the road to D.C.! What a great night for fashion, networking, & site seeing.
